Rained On Their Parade

Although it rained heavily - spirits weren’t dampened on the local gala day parade of walking tableaux by village groups down the village - the bands still played played on - given the weather - activities on the park field were somewhat curtailed and the event finished earlier than normal - a shame given all the preparation that’s involved - but I was singing the praises of all involved whilst stood in the rain
