Toad.

In the 39 years weve been in the house we have had toads in the garden. Not a lot , some very small, some quite big as this specimen. I dont think theres a lot and I'm not sure how they survive as we have no water and I always thought that they laid their eggs in water ( like frogs do) But, theres plenty of rain and they seem to be keeping the slug population down

We dont see them often so it's always a delight when we catch a glimpse of one. Maybe there is only the one now.

M saw this chaps in the garage so I grabbed the camera. Of course as I started to focus the toad crawled away quickly into the dark corner I took a  couple of shots and then he was hidden away behind a stone slab.
