Wet Meadows

Today’s weather forecast - rain pretty much all day - has been correct so far. Although it was still dry when I set out this morning. I caught a train to Ospizio Bernina, hoping I could either walk to Alp Grüm from there, or in the other direction towards Diavolezza. 
But I arrived in fog, horizontal rain, and a freezing world of ice and snow (first extra). I didn’t even leave the station, but took the next train back. 

Next, I went to Samedan, to look for some souvenirs (mostly for my mother and her carers) at shops that are different from the ones in Pontresina, where I am staying. I didn’t find much, but it had almost stopped raining when I left, so I decided to walk back through the meadows.

The abundance of flowers is hard to capture in a blip, but the main picture and the extra collage might give you an idea. I wasn’t dry anymore when I arrived at the hotel, but I didn’t regret the walk at all. 

Now for a visit to the pool and spa, while the Swiss are off watching football…

Oh, and the sign in the last extra just made me smile.
