Washing hands...

This morning had to go to one of our rural Early Childhood Centres to discuss sustainability measures with the committee. They have a beautiful building which was donated by a couple of Europeans but unfortunately sustainability measures were never put in place. After our meeting which I think was successful, I went to see what was happening at the centre.

I found that it was phala (porridge) time and the kids were lined up to wash hands. in our rural centres there is no piped water although in this one there is a borehole nearby. Children wash hands as the caregiver pours water from a cup! Children were all healthy and happy which was great.

As for the ants from yesterday - they were all gone this morning and I hope they stay away...... thanks for all your kind comments!
