Wild Wednesday ...

... a day at the lake.

Today was absolutely perfect for kayaking so we headed up to Lake Nockamixon after an appointment that I had in the morning.  We got up there in time to eat our picnic lunch before heading out in the kayak.

And we had a lovely time ... with lots to see and photograph.  All the water lilies were simply beautiful.  We didn't see a lot of water fowl ... just a great blue heron (lower left) and some cormorants (upper right).  The young lady pictured was out paddle boarding with some other young girls.  They were having a blast ... as did we.

We were back home from the lake by 4:00 pm and that was that!
