Vine hawkmoth caterpillar

I found two of these huge hawk moth caterpillars on a branch of our pergola vine I'd just pruned off, so I climbed up and wove the cut branch in among the rest of the vine, hoping that the caterpillars will be able to move onto the living branches once the cut one dries up.
