Overdue Catch Up

A long overdue catch up with my friend and former work colleague, and manager V, here with her dog Otto. She had made scones and we had a good chat. Left in order to get home to watch the football - Germany v Scotland to open the European Championships. I shouldn't have bothered as it was grim viewing. Much like some games that United have played against the Old Firm in the past when the opposition seem likely to score at will. Once Scotland conceded an early goal, from Germany's first shot on target, it was always going to be difficult. Considering it was 0-3 at half-time and Scotland were down to 10 men the eventual 1-5 scoreline was probably a best case scenario! It was always the case that they needed a win and a draw from the three games. They just need to get them in the two remaining fixtures.
