Sky light

With a damp start we headed over to queue for a ticket to see Maeshowe Chambered Cairn. Booked in for 3 pm so headed to Yesnaby on the coast for another stunning cliff top walk. Amazing rocks, stacks and arches.
Back to Maeshowe for our guided tour of this 5000 year old chambered cairn. Fascinating to see the construction inside and also the runes graffiti added by Vikings who crashed the cairn many years after it had been discarded.
Our evening stop over site was at the Broch of Gurness, looking across to Rousay and this beautiful evening sky. This was taken at 10.30pm. Hoping we get an actual sunset at some point!
