big mandibles

Friday, WFH which is just as well since I seem to have caught some bug (see extra). So far just a scratch throat. We shall see if it stays like that. I did get a fair amount of work done. Went for a walk at lunch time avoiding people and watching this beewolf sort out its lair. It does have quite impressive mandibles. Also watched another kind of wasp deal with its prey (see other extra). Rowan brought some cake from the bakery and the shocking news that some folk stole the wee market stall that provided the best Quarkbällchen (kind of small doughnuts without any filling).
