Above board

This is the LNER train that I was on board last week on my way down to London. I walked over it (or rather across the bridge) on my way down to swimming this morning. There was a slightly drizzle but trees provided shelter for changing.   The water was initially cold but that soon passed and I swam to the first pine (and back). I even spotted a salmon jumping.  There were 25 of us, including a 3 month old baby, in the cafe afterwards. The baby wasn't swimming but another swimmer was looking after her while her mother swam.  Most impressive.

This afternoon VC came round so we could continue our exploration into the lives of railway workers in Blair Atholl in 1881. A really interesting mix of fortunes.

I believe there is a rather important football match on tonight which T will be watching as the European Championships get underway. I shall pass.
