Twelth Night
A well attended matinee performance of Twelth Night at the Shakespeare North Playhouse, with theatre company Not Too Tame. They aim to create productions that feel more like gigs than traditional theatre, and to engage those who feel they do not belong. So there was a lot of loud music (it started with three actors on stage, two playing electric guitars and one a drum, a terrific rendition of the Stones Gimme Shelter), and a lot of dance moves (including one section where two members of the audience were encouraged on stage to join in, full marks to that elderly lady who really got into it). And playing Malvolio was well known entertainer Les Dennis, who was tremendous. All in all a fantastic production.
The main blip is a section of the exterior. That little figure sitting on a ledge is Oberon. And the extra is a section of the interior.
