Tall grass

I have no idea what this plant actually is, but it has overtaken our backyard. That's also on me. I really just gave up. It's a losing battle with these plants. I've cut them down and even uprooted them, and they come back like it's nothing.

The yard is embarrassing and annoying. We had to have someone come over yesterday to fix our air conditioner (there's a heat dome forecast for next week), and he told us we needed to trim the plants.

I want to hire a landscaper to turn it into a patio, but so far no one has called me back.
