The last time I tried to knit I was about 9 yrs old and it was a scarf for my teddy that was more holes than knit. My last home birth client bought the needles, wool and a beginners guide book for me when I said I think I should try it again. All the great midwives I know knit or crochet , it’s part of being present with quiet essential watchful observation , without staring ! Judging by how fiddly and weird it felt trying to weld these needles and a piece of yarn that weighs nothing, I’m thinking like the scarf for the old teddy is still the main goal! And that teddy is in my parents loft in a different country , so I have plenty of time to practice !
This happened today because it rained nearly all day .
In other news , the dog had his rabies vaccine so we can travel to the UK next week . 40 Euro so he can travel from Ireland which doesn’t have any rabies , to the UK which also doesn’t have any rabies. The vet who looked about 15 yrs old , said isn’t that great they don’t have rabies , which is true , but not what I meant :0)
