Gotcha!

The newly cut grass brought the birds out this afternoon. I followed this American robin around the backyard trying to get a photo of him with his beak full but he was too quick or facing away from me. This is the best of the bunch • Phoebes, catbirds and dragonflies were actively searching for food too • Oh, and I saw our first hummer since May!! • We started this lovely day with a breakfast picnic at the river. The sturgeon weren’t jumping but we did see a bald eagle couple and several cormorants • Everything is looking good in the garden, soon we’ll be adding soil to the potatoes. The dear deer haven’t discovered the butterfly bed (yet), so many plants are tall and budding, even the swamp milkweed • Peace & Love
