Curtains

I visited the local curtain shop today, hunting for the 'right' fabric for the guest room, and the sales assistant took me around the back and down, and more down, to their basement depo workshop where I met the curtain maker himself.  Sadly, none of their stock was what I was looking for although I did find suitable net curtains in their bargain bin.

Rufus and I walked to the vet this afternoon for his annual rabies shot. He wasn't impressed, but he can't travel back to the UK without it.

Gaby's last day today, and she drove to the villa around 5pm after doing all her pre travel chores. We strolled the sea front before a leisurely salad and beer at Paşa restaurant at the close of yet another very hot day around 40ºC.  Can't believe her 10 days have passed so quickly and I'm sorry to see her go. It also means that it's only 10 days until I go to Istanbul. These days are flying past, too much to do and too little time to do it in.
