This topper has replaced Mr MacGregor's garden and Peter Rabbit. The cast of the children's TV programme Rainbow are there instead. The programme was supposed to be a UK equivalent of Sesame Street. I can't recall if Rosie ever watched it.

A dreadfully dreary day. I fell asleep probably because of yesterday evening's trauma and only then decided to take Basil and myself out to the pharmacy. It had begun to spot with rain.

When Len took Basil out an hour later, it was raining in earnest and both got soaked.
