Dallington Village Almshouses

These four almshouses were built in 1673 in Dallington village, for the use of 'the needy' in perpetuity. They still fulfill their original purpose, each housing one deserving resident for a small token rent. The gardens are attractive all year round, looked after by the residents.

Cold, windy and wet again today. It's like Groundhog Day.
