Pay phone

I was in the library today and saw this old pay phone sitting in the corner tucked out of the way. It made me weirdly nostalgic. They were such a large part of my childhood. Keeping my mum updated on where i was and making arrangements with friends. Seeing this one now I wander how often its used. I’m sure when it was installed it was in constant use but now id be surprised if it even gets used once a week. It even had a sign next to it that it no longer accepts coins only phone cards and if thats true it probably hasn’t seen use since the 90’s. Having a camera has made me appreciate objects like this more. Usually people don’t notice things like this until they are gone.
