Abstract Thursday - Shapes

I took some photos this morning of the sandstone strata on the stones that lie on Tyninghame Beach. I find their shapes and lines endlessly fascinating (see extra). However, just before I left the beach I came across this striking design on the bark of a tree trunk and felt this might make a stronger 'shape' image. To abstract the natural patterns further I inverted the images and played about with the colour balance
