Training Camp

Football fever is starting, even in rugby centric Devon. I reckon these lads could get us over the line, even though it was taken in 1946. They are keen, and can’t wait to get going. They have the great advantage of coming from the North West where football is in the blood, and they play for a school named after a saint. I am looking forward to the next few weeks, it is one of my favourite photographs, and is from the Bolton Evening News. The goalie is one of the smallest but no doubt the most fearless.
