Taparahi bridge

Left our accommodation in Tairua and headed back over the peninsula on State Highway 25a. This is the shortest link between the two coasts and was severely impacted by the cyclones early last year. The road was completely washed away and meant that a bridge had to be built. It's 124 metres long and was opened in December.
