Cheap Repair

Quite a while ago I trashed my driver side backup mirror. I repaired it with duct tape and never looked back. Two reasons I could do that. It was just the cover that broke. The mechanism was and is still working. And my car is so old it doesn’t have cameras in its door side mirrors. Since then I’ve had to retape the mirror periodically. This time I got fancy and bought red duct tape so I could have a red mirror on my red car.

Funny thing is that the news on PBS tonight was talking about the high cost of car repairs. Made me even happier that my old car is still humming along at 19 years of age.
