LIFE ON THE EDGE

(Backblip) The energetic sisters went off for a long walk while A2 and I ventured only about half a mile or so away from the car park and back. We walked below Curbar Edge which looked a lot higher and more precarious in real life. Rock climbing is not an activity that's ever appealed to me. There were wonderful views over the Derbyshire countryside as well as wildlife. Extra is a cinnabar moth we spotted.
Once the walkers had returned we went on to Eyam, the "plague village" which was very poignant. We appreciated the truly excellent teashop there and managed to sample most of their cake selection in the half hour we had before they closed!
