Juvenile Red Bellied Woodpecker

I was outside first thing this morning as today was HOT. By 9am it already had a heat index of 85°

I got things watered and then sat to take some bird photos. Saw this juvenile Red Bellied Woodpecker in the dead dogwood tree. He was doing a lot of ruffling of his wings.
