My Heart Skipped A Beat

I thought I had my blip in the bag when I photographed the aircraft in extras. It looked to me like a Jet Provost but is a BAC Strikemaster, which was developed from that. It's the predecessor to The Hawk and has a Rolls Royce turbo jet engine. It's owned by Aero Legends of North Weald who give fighter jet experiences. Prices start at £2,750 for 30 minutes.

I was so excited to see a large skipper butterfly in the front garden. I've never seen one in the garden before. It really gave me a lift. It had settled on a self-heal bloom and then flitted to a cut-leafed cranesbill. (Extras) My #nomowsummer is paying off. Two lovely native wildflowers attracting my favourite family of butterflies. Self-heal gets its scientific name from the German for diphtheria, which it was used to treat.
