Bloom in June

A shift at YorkGate for me this afternoon, the first l’ve done this year when it hasn’t rained.
So busy, it’s becoming a victim of its own success.
Car park was full when l arrived but became freed up as the afternoon went on.
Lots of lovely visitors today, lots had traveled quite a distance.
Near the greenhouses, which are off limits to visitors, is a plant table where we can choose a plant or two to take home. Today l got a geranium , a new hybrid called Sirak, no doubt it will feature on Flower Friday at some point.
The paths into the meadow have just been mowed, they looked especially pretty with all the daisies bordering the grass.
There is a growing movement that in addition to No Mow May they are encouraging gardeners to continue to leave their lawns to Bloom in June to further provide a habitat for pollinators.
