Seeing Red

I was looking for colorful objects to use as the subject for my next photo. This red fire hydrant stood out from its surroundings.

The local heat wave will curb many of my planned outdoor activities today.  
Instead, my main goal will be to stay cool...perhaps some reading.  I picked up a book of poetry by Louise Gluck - it has been years since I last read poetry!
