18lb bang on!!!

Had a very lazy morning today involving snoozing, cuddles, singing songs and C Beebies in bed. Also text John to see if he was available to take me to get Eva weighed for her 4 weekly weigh in. Bless him, he said yes :-)

Brought Eva downstairs then and sat her in her rocker in the back room while I spent time with the kittens then the cats. She was quite happy watching more C Beebies, she's such a good girl and will sit there quite contented for a short while if I've got stuff to do.

Uncle John came and got us at 1.30 and off we went to see the health visitor. Over the last 8 weeks, Eva has gone from 14lb 14oz to 16lb 10oz to today 18lb. The health visitor said she looks a very happy, healthy baby girl so again I was a very proud mommy.

Grandad Hopkins came round when we got back. He had lots of munches with Eva and we had a coffee and a catch up. He thought it was very funny to put Eva's monkey rattle on her foot, mean Grandad lol. He then went and fetched me a parasol for her pram from the baby shop up the road, as I rang them and they'd only got 2 left, and we have a busy week planned, most of which involves being out in the sunshine, so that was kind of him.

Tried to get some kitten pics then, but it was getting too dark by that stage in the back room so we gave up :-( plus to top it off, Eva started to stir and then took another hour to get back off to sleep. It's now 10.45 pm as I write this and she's just stirred again, maybe it's the heat, although we have the fan on in the room but its still very hot, the monitor says 25 degrees at this time of night, with the fan on.
