Vessels Ahoy

Shiver me timbers - along with honorary members A&K - the Bus Pass Walkers became not so ancient mariners today - hired Toby to set sail from Snaygill towards Bingley and back - on the Leeds Liverpool Canal - did use nautical terms where possible - main shot taken from prow of vessel whilst navigating way under a bridge to discover ships ahoy

If ever the position of Admiral Of The Fleet become available - we’re contenders - soon fathomed out the workings of the boat and swing bridges - nobody had to walk the plank because we were all well behaved - substituted tea - coffee and water for grog - provided our own vittals - and said ahoy with gusto to other vessels we saw as well as land lubbers walking the tow path as we sailed on by - didn’t have to weigh the anchor and nobody had avast behind - a good way to spend time with me hearties
