Sand Martin

Difficult to capture in flight, sitting by their nest burrow makes life easy for the photographer.  Probably about twelve nests in this colony on the shore - I hope they don't get disturbed too much.
Visitors arriving on Wednesday - Tricia's second cousin with family - so much excitement nad tidying going on.
Ruadh has been in the wars recently and Tricia took her to the vet today. The diagnosis was what we had suspected - cruciate ligament problems. Hopefully it is a strain rather than a rupture. Pain killers seem to have cheered her up somewhat. A few gentle days ahead.
