A Teeny Tiny Tuesday

The grasshoppers are hatching, and this wee fellow was on my porch railing.  He could easily sit on my thumbnail and have room to spare.  Isn't he the cutest!  He may be tiny but when he did leap away it was amazing how far he jumped.  A grasshopper can jump 30 inches. If you could jump that many times your body length, you could cover an entire football field in a single bound!  "Able to leap tall ferns in a single bound...Superhopper!"   I see a comic book here.   (No visit from Buster last night...maybe he's given up.)
