Baby bird

I spotted it sitting in the long grass, of which there is plenty in the garden. Being young it had no fear of me and just stared! It was about half a metre in from the cut pathway. It didn't seem in any distress and I could hear other birds calling it so I left it be. I kept Reg indoors for a while and went to check later that it had gone, and it had. It looked very young so I guess it was having rest before taking off again!
