Seriously?

and on

Our morning walk was a little later than usual and therefore uncomfortably hot for small fur persons and large furless ones to be wandering about in the full glare of the sun so, for a change from the side streets we went to the sea front so that we could both enjoy some shade as well as the view.

Spent most of the rest of the day lethargically sorting out the front bedroom which will be my craft room while waiting, again, for the bed to (not) be delivered.

Efe called with the appropriate worker to measure up and give me a quote for building sliding smoked glass doors on my front bedroom balcony. This will help keep the temperature down in the summer, and the cold out later in the year so I'll be able to sit there all the time, any time.

Rounded off the day with much needed pool time. Gaby arrived early evening and we had a beer on my patio while continuing to wait just in case the bed arrived... finally giving up around 19.45, the time clearly no longer fitting the profile of the expected delivery time of "afternoon".   As we walked to Sahara restaurant on the sea front, I called the furniture company who said the men were still out delivering, but I said at 20.00 I was now out for the evening with my friend.  Last chance tomorrow - three strikes and I'll go elsewhere which would be an enormous drag as it is a lovely bed. It's the same as the one I  bought a three weeks ago for my guest room, where I've been sleeping since moving in. As my own bedroom is now ready for occupancy as soon as I have somewhere to sleep, this is all very frustrating and typical Turkey, unfortunately.

Rufus, off lead all along the sea front and at the restaurant, clearly had a wonderful evening and I think he is now totally settled and back to being my beautiful boy. The temperature was perfect tonight, around 27ºC with a slight sea breeze and once home, I continued to sit on my patio for quite a while longer.
