Padua

Inside the building of the Università degli Studi in Padua. Galileo Galilei lectured In the Aula Grande here and lived a few streets away. His house is still there but was closed, possibly because it was a Monday. We visited the huge Basilica of St Anthony where St Anthony is buried. His tomb must be the most opulent we have ever seen.
On the train back to Verona I was sitting beside two ‘blue’ nuns who were from Indonesia. The older one was quite chatty and very interested to hear about Scotland.
