Rainbows, Rain, Snow and Sunshine

My son picked me up just before 9am and then we made our way to Akaroa.

We meet the insurance assessor and left him to do his thing while we went a had a coffee. The asssessor phoned while we were having coffee to say the drying people were there and were removing the carpets.  And did I know they were coming today. No I didn't. But it was good as it made it easier to move the rest of the furniture into the garage without going over wet carpets.

Going over to Akaroa we had rain for most of the journey. It was wonderful seeing a rainbow. When we got to the hill top we got snow flakes. The top of hills had a light coating of snow on them. It didn't last once the sun came out and it warmed up nicely.

My oldest son and his partner did amazing job of shifting all the heavy furniture in the garage and packing all my books and bits of pieces up in the high cupboards
