Pawns In The Park

People tend to move with speed and purpose around New York City, so its public spaces are not often associated with sitting and thinking for hours on end. Yet, here's just that sort of activity: the chess tables at Washington Square Park. I love observing the observers, you can see so many emotions on their faces, from intense concentration to deep confusion.
