Mr blue sky
Sun is shinin' in the sky,
There ain't a cloud in sight,
It's stopped rainin' ev'rybody's in a play
And do nt you know

Lovely summers day today, very hot at times so had to go indoors to cool down.
Went for an evening walk along the coastline in Avoch.
Plenty of terns were flying around the rafts and diving for fish. Two yellow hammers sang on the wires.
A couple of people were walking there dogs, one friendly dog came running up and licked the lens of my camera. Thanks dog luckily it was too slobbery and I managed to clean it.
A helicopter flew over Ormonde Hill . The sun was setting in the background. At the top of the hill Avoch castle used to stand. It was the seat of the De Moray family.
De Moray played an important part in the Scottish war of independence. In 1297
he raised his standard at the castle to rally his troups for battle.
With William Wallace they defeated the English army at the Battle of Stirling bridge.
Andrew De Moray died of his wounds soon after and a cairn and plaque can be seen at the castle site. You can see the flag flying in this picture.
