A thorny issue

In the middle of doing a variety of odd jobs today I looked out of the kitchen window and noticed the sun catching the rose thorns. A bit of juggling with window and a stool enabled me to get in a position to take a pic - and then I had to wait until the sun came out again!
The odd jobs continued into early afternoon and I got the trousers I was making finished and then it was out to help at the Kids' Club. That was easy today as there weren't many there and I was just really an extra body.
I wasn't home long before it was time to go out for the running group. It was quite chilly and hard to believe it's June.
