Not a Good Look

This great tit has lost all the feathers on its head, poor thing. No doubt due to the stress of looking after its chicks. I only went in the garden a couple of times to fill up the sunflower hearts, I’ve never know them to go down so quickly, probably the cold means not many insects are around. I woke up this morning to the sound of strong winds through the in full leaf trees. There was a yellow weather warning in place for the area due to the wind. Then the heavy rain arrived, 14.4mm so far today. And it’s been so cold, I had to put another blanket on the bed last night and it was only 8C when I got up, so I put the heating on for an hour. I had a nice catch up with one of my sisters and sorted and sent some photos for the project meeting.

Most of the afternoon was spent setting up my new Norton product key - worked ok on the laptop, but it confused my iPhone and iPad. Finally managed to find on Norton’s website how to contact them, all help links were just taking you to online help articles which didn’t cover the subject. Obviously it was by ‘chat’ and sorting out the licence issue took about an hour. Then I asked about the backup problem as I was being told I’d run out of space on my laptop. That error message is incorrect, I’d run out of space in the cloud. Then she wanted to remove one of my two backup sets as ‘having more than one can cause errors’. That done, there was still far too much backup storage used, even after upgrading to double it. That shouldn’t be the case, there’s obviously an error. Then she had to leave and transferred the use of my laptop to her supervisor. He was quite aggressive, clearly wanting to close it down. Then I couldn’t log into Norton when asked as I’d been asked too many times that afternoon to log in, so it’s locked me out. Then I asked to raise a formal complaint, he was aggressive again and then I got a message to say I’d closed the session, I hadn’t but he using my cursor had! Oh bring back the days when large organisations were competent, fixed problems they know about, were easily contactable and treated customers with respect!
