Another blue day
We went in search of the Antonine Wall today. We started at the Roman bath house in Bearsden. A very clear layout and simple notices gave a good idea of what it must have been like in Roman times. There was a seat under a shady tree which was ideal for having our picnic.
After looking at some wall stones in a graveyard, we went to Cadder on the Forth and Clyde Canal. It was peaceful and very beautiful as we walked along the towpath.
We finished up at Kirkintilloch to discover that the Auld Kirk Museum is closed on Mondays! So we had an ice cream and came home. A lovely day.
mr s took this shot of damselflies at the canal where there were hundreds shimmering along the edge of the water. I like this shot better than the ones I took of Roman rocks
