Late entry.

       One, I must admit, I wasn't too bothered about.  At severe risk of giving offence where none is intended, I wasn't best chuffed when the word "Gay" was purloined by Larry Grayson and put to an unintended use; but I have absolutely NO problems with whatever gender an individual chooses to love, or I wouldn't have gone to the same place for my hair cut for years.  And can we now "take PRIDE" in a job well done?
      I have absolutely NO objections to Civil Partnerships - BUT - if I live till I die I'll NEVER get accustomed to hearing either a man refer to his husband OR a woman refer to her wife.  What do the celebrants say?
                     "I now pronounce you person and person."
