Moving day and beautiful bloom ...

Off to Abbot Hall in Kendal to see the Gilbert Spencer exhibition. The portrait in the extra was painted when he was Head of Painting at GSA .. the city's not this smoky now!

On the way home we saw many of the early riders on their way to Barrow as part of Dave Day. There were already bridges full of waving well wishers. So moving. Now we hear there were well over 40,000 motorbikes in the town when all were gathered together.  

And so to the beauty of my amaryllis  ... brings joy. It's such a fabulous colour and the flowers are huge!
