Many Hairy Bikers

We were driving up the M6 to meet up with David’s sister and her partner in Sandbach in Cheshire when we began to realize that there were an extraordinary number of motorbikes driving past us. Many of them were wearing colorful Hawaiian style shirts. Also we noticed that every pedestrian bridge had many people waving to the bikers- so we had to search this out on our phones. It turned out that there was a massive memorial for one of the famous “Hairy Bikers - Dave Myers who recently died. He was so well liked that about 20,000 people turned out on their bikes to show their respects.

We had a good time at lunch catching up with Nicky and Fintan.
