A moment in time

Raspberries

A bright day, but cold for the time of year, the temperature reached 14C mid afternoon, but was 11C most of the morning.

At church today we had a talk from an asylum seeker who has been in Scotland for eighteen months now; he is from Iran and told his story well.  He arrived in this country with no words of English but has learned well.  It seems there are 90 men living in a local hotel in the town, all asylum seekers, and the local churches have formed a volunteer group to give them as much help as they can.  We had a leaving collection for them, and were able to talk to him and his friend.

We had a walk down at the loch in the afternoon.  I took some photographs of the birds in the water, but liked this shot of the raspberries we had with our pudding this evening.
