Steam

We went to the Steampunk Festival in Morecambe today. Lots of striking and imaginative costumes on display, but this lady really caught my eye, and she was more than happy to pose for the picture.
Unfortunately, the nice weather that we enjoyed on “Dave Day” yesterday had totally vanished. It wasn’t actually raining, but the skies were grey and there was an icy wind howling along the prom. As such, those few hardy souls who had ventured out were not inclined to leave The Platform and wander around the town!
We didn’t stay long and returned home for the afternoon. I listened to “Sounds of the 70s” on the radio and amused myself by trying to find a picture of me on the bike yesterday amongst the many thousands that had been posted online overnight.
After a lot of scrolling I eventually found one! Ok, it’s only a back view, but it’s proof I was there. Which might be significant, as I understand someone has approached Guinness World Records to see if we have actually set some sort of record for numbers of bikers at a single event. That would be something to put on the CV!
