A Bee, or Not a Bee

Not a bee.
It looks like bee, but it’s a hoverfly called Volucella Bombylans, which mimics the appearance of a bumblebee. 
The big eyes made me curious when I focused in.

I’ve never seen one before….You learn something everyday.
