Metz

We have come away in the motorhome and are spending a couple of nights in Metz on the France, Luxemburg, Germany borders..

We have never been here before and are pleasantly surprised.   The campsite is one of the best municipal sites we have used.   It's on the bank of the Moselle.  The pitches are enormous with a view of the river.   It's also very clean.

The city is lovely with lots of nice restaurants.   The cathedral is spectacular and apparently has more stained glass than any other in the world. (see extra)

The museum was also fantastic.   There are lots of Roman excavations, very reminiscent of Bath and amazingly it's totally free!
