Baker Street

An even later blip this time i.e. posted the morning after.

We had a very full day and got home very late. I was too tired to do an edit I was happy with, and to get my thoughts in order.

We did manage that flying visit to London to catch up with daughter#2 on her travels. We took the train to London Marylebone and then the tube from Baker Street to Kings Cross to meet her from her Edinburgh train. I was pleased to find the iconic Baker Street platform which I've seen images of many times. See it, take it, blip it.

After meeting our daughter we traveled on to Wapping where she was staying overnight before her next train journey back to Munich. We had hoped to grab an early meal at the Prospect Of Whitby but even at 6pm it was heaving. We tried a few other pubs but they were all either rammed, incredibly noisy, or not serving food. So we got an Uber to the St Katherine's Dock area where we found another pub we knew which was quieter. First time we have had an Uber ride, and it was a Tesla so that was a first for us too. 

Daughter#2 was full of stories from the Taylor Swift concert. She loved it. She was quite close to the stage too, in fact Taylor had a cold and she could see her nose running. Maybe that is too much information.

We got back to Oxford later than expected, only just inside the 11 hours we had on the car park. A super day though.
