Shades of Green and Tudor Cuisine!

Buckfast Abbey in West Devon holds true to it's Tudor origins. Today in the kitchens a friendly and knowledgeable group of ladies in period costume were demonstrating aspects of the art of Tudor cooking. Children (and Adults) seemed spellbound as they watched, listened and participated when invited. 
I didn't take any photos at the abbey but when we came home I found this shrub in the garden. Some of the curiously, variegated leaves were a different shade of green on each side.
