New Regent St, Christchurch …..

….. ….. ….. by night.

A fullon day in Christchurch.
I met up with friends at the Lyttelton Market this morning, an old stamping ground. It was marvellous seeing them both, one at a time! Memorable times.
I bussed there and back to the CBD and hotel, to meet another old friend and to catch up with all her family news, particularly to do with the pandemic. It’s certainly had a huge effect on folk here, particularly the mandates.

This evening was the reason for coming to Christchurch; the Ukraine Ballet at the Isaac Theatre Royal. Such a superb venue, and wonderfully restored since the earthquakes. Extras
The ballet itself was amazing astounding incredible. Such talent! Unforgettable and well worth the trip.
They finished by singing the Ukraine National Anthem. So moving. And then they were waving to us and everyone was waving back, some cheering & whistling. So moving!
I’d met up with my Girl Fridays group for a meal before the ballet, all 9 of us; the first time we’d been together for a very long time. How special!
